Tearing off the old back-splash tile... 


R.W. needed some help with tearing out some old country-themed tiling from above the kitchen countertops.  I don't think the tile really wanted to come off the walls (as you can see in the pictures), but it was nothing a good scraper and hammer couldn't overtake. 

Humorously, we pulled a nail out of the wall (from the original tile installation) and it opened the electric circuit for the stove.  I had to pull the wire and patch it up before the tiling could continue.

R.W. and Eric laid the new tile so I don't have any "finished" pictures for this page.  But the green-tinted 1" glass tile looks pretty modern and sleek.
